Weighing My Lens Options

Weighing My Lens Options

A lot of people think that you really need to have fast lens to shoot nice pictures or video, but I have been learning that that isn’t necessarily the case. I am weighing my lens options. Specifically I am considering a full frame 70-200mm F2.8 zoom lens for my Panasonic S1 camera. The other thing that I learned is that they are really expensive. If money isn’t a problem for you, let’s say you are making good money from your videography or photography go ahead they are really nice lens. Is One Stop of Light Worth it The difference between…
What Kind of Camera Should I Get?

What Kind of Camera Should I Get?

There are lots of camera brands out there and they can all shoot decent pictures and video. Of course, they would all love to have you as their next costumer, but before answering the question, what kind of camera should I get, there are at least 4 things you should consider. A 2019 Camera That is Better in 2024

Anybody guess the Panasonic S1. I did my research. Yes, I know Canon is more popular and their auto focus is better, but Panasonic is still a worth contender. Panasonic released a lot firmware updates for this camera that have extended its functionality. If stills are your thing, you can stop there. It’s great for that. In the below video I do an unboxing of the camera.…

It was a sunny day, but I didn’t want to shoot in complete manual mode because I knew that I would be going in and out of the school. I figured let the camera adjust for the changes in light and shutter speed on its own. Well that was a mistake that can ruin your footage. I’m leaving it up here for 2 reasons. One the lesson it teaches and two the content is still good. Shoot Manual It’s worth…
The Right Camera

The Right Camera

The right camera is the camera you have with you. Not the camera you let at home because it was too big. My Panasonic GX7 m2 (in the US it's the GX85) isn't really that big. It fits in a large coat pocket, but I would need to limit myself to a pancake lens. Hong Kong is warm or hot most of the year so wearing a coat isn't really a possibility for me. As an alternative, I tried using a fanny pack. The fanny pack allows me to take the camera with a lens hiking or anywhere else. Still…
