So if you live anywhere between WuKaiSha to SaiKung or the surrounding area, I’m sure you are very familiar with all of the road construction on SaiSha Road that is going on. From the round about after Symphony Bay all the way to TinLiu, there is 2 kilometers of construction. We live at the TinLiu end of it. What was a 2 lane road is being transformed into a 4 lane main road. To give you some perspective. Here’s what it looked like in April of 2022 in this video I ride my bicycle through the construction to my school. Then about a year later in May of 2023, I shot it again from my bicycle. In both cases, the path I rode on was a temporary one and it was shared by pedestrians. By January of this year 2024, I shot the road construction project again, only this time from my motorcycle. It just made more sense to shoot from the road this time. You wouldn’t have been able to see it as well if I had shot it from the bicycle. This marks a milestone as they now have installed a median in the center of the road. Shortly after shooting the video, they added trees and shrubs. It looks really nice.That brings us up to late April 2024. I shot this video the day after the Footbridge opened. It was a Sunday.

It seems like the progress never stops. Now they have opened 2 lanes in both directions. Good job and thanks for all of your hard work to the road widening project team.
