Light reveals a scenes beauty. Yes, I know it can be fun to play in the dark, but not total darkness. Yesterday, I went exploring with some friends on Chuang Chao island. We went into a cave where everything was dark. The kids in our group loved it. They used their smart phone lights to play around and experience the joys of shadows, darkness, and light.
Without some sort of light source, we would not be able to appreciate the image. Darkness by itself can be scary. We appreciate its beauty and the shadows that come with it, only when light is present. Light delights our senses. We find ourselves amazed by its beauty and enjoy soaking in it’s warmth.
Here are some recent examples of pictures with light and shadows. They are high contrast images. Our eyes are naturally drawn to the differences between the well lit and poorly lit areas.
