It’s been four and half years since I was last home, so this visit was long over due. I spent about 2 weeks visiting with family and friends in Rochester NY. Then took a road trip with my parents to visit my sister and her family in Virginia. Her boys have really grown a lot since I last saw them. Then mom, dad and I took the Auto Train to Florida. In this blog, I will show you the highlight videos from different parts of my visit.

Time with My Relatives

I am so thankful things worked out for me to participate in Cousins Day.

My Parents House in Rochester NY and Some Changes

This video shows Rochester NY with a light dusting of snow. I share some of my impressions about how things have changed, show some photos of my dad and I skiing, and then show some video from the Istanbul airport in Turkey.

The Amtrak Train Ride

Next let me show you our trip on the Auto Train to Virginia to see my sister and her family. It took 17 hours to ride from Virginia to Florida. With a length of 3/4 of a mile long, the Auto Train is the world’s longest passenger train. It can hold up to 330 cars and 650 passengers. If you like trains, I highly recommend it. Take a look at my families experience.

Racing

My Uncle Michael in Clearwater Florida suggested that we go to a car race. Years ago I went to a tractor pull, but this was my first time to a speedway to watch car races. We all lined up to buy tickets and were confronted by a sign that read no video recording. I was disappointed as a brought my camera and had planned on shooting video. I decided to follow the rules and shoot photos and then to edit them into photo sequences instead.

Joshie Time

There are some repeats here. But the majority of the video shows my nephew Joshie. He talks a little bit about his school life and we go on a walk together. I love the natural environment they have over there. We had a lot of fun. Oh, Jefferson the family dog is also in here. He studied at Pet Smart and has learned some tricks to show off.
